Do you guys really still listen to The Beastie Boys?

Not nearly as much as I used to, but they are definitely one of the all time greats. The Paul's Boutique, CYH, Ill Comm, Hello Nasty run is one of my favorites in all of music. I think HN is a little bit of a step down from the other 3, but it's still pretty amazing. The Hot Sauce Committee pt 2. was a fine swan song. I hope some of the tracks from those sessions see the light of day someday.

Look, I'm not gonna jump up anyone's dick for not liking/listening to the Beastie Boys. But I fucking love the Beastie Boys. The aforementioned run of albums is fantastic. Though, like others have said, I don't listen to them as much as I used to/should. But usually I get the itch in late spring/early summer to run through my favs.

Just took a quick spin through all the Deluxe material for Check Your Head / Ill Communication / Hello Nasty. There was a LOT of good stuff there!

Those are some of box sets I still need to check out, I’ve only heard Ill Communication’s deluxe material but it was pretty awesome.

"E-Pro" just came on. I remember that time I was listening and it dawned on me that the backbone of the song is just a fraction of a second looped from "So Whatcha Want." Or maybe I always knew.

My suspicion is that a particularly nasty strain of head lice has found its way into the entertainment industry.

Been listening to these guys since last night. Just two albums, Check Your Head and Ill Communication.

Damn, these guys were the best.

I don’t think I’ve listened to a Beastie Boys song in like 15 years

I listened to their entire catalog last Thanksgiving when I read their book.

Then I did it again last month when I listened to the audiobook.

I just don't get this level of interest in them...this reminds of how a bunch of people in my high school were obsessed with RHCP and raved about Kiedis's autobiography

Started writing a detailed response, then realized I’m a 38-year-old man arguing the merits of the red hot chili peppers versus the beastie boys, so I bailed
