I want a full band show in Minneapolis/St.Paul. However, I have seen Beck live more then any other artist (I think), so I can't complain.

i like not knowing what to expect next month. what i've heard of the song book show and these two youtube tracks, he's hitting on the themes i enjoy, but then there's the rumor/story that he's working on two new albums simultaneously and i wonder if he'll just whip up something special.

what i'm getting at is i'm excited to see him.

Beck has always been entertaining in concert. Vultures was a crazy tour though. I love about half of Modern Guilt more than anything since Odelay. My favourite disc is One Foot and top song is Hollow Log. Looking forward to anything he does especially if I don't have to know how to read music to get at it!

His new single is beautiful. Thought I was listening to without for a minute, the guitar is almost identical.
Lovely haunting chorus though.

Get Mutations. The song 'nobody's fault but my own' is one of the greatest songs ever written.

I just downloaded everything. Most of these records I've listened to once or twice when they were new.

Personal Rankings:

1 Mutations
2 Sea Change
3 Guero
4 Midnight Vultures
5 Odelay
6 Mellow Gold
7 Modern Guilt
8 The Information
9 One foot in the Grave

To be fair, I just never got into The Information or Modern Guilt, but Modern Guilt is more concise and easier to digest.

There are about 2 albums worth of b-sides and soundtrack songs I like more than half of the official album releases.

I've always loved Steve Threw Up and MTV Makes Me Want To Smoke Crack.

Besides the early albums which are in a class of their own, I loved Mutations, Guero & Modern Guilt. The others don't interest me as much.
