Beck does Hank Williams x2. An oft overlooked aspect of this guy's vast musical repertoire is what a great singer he is -- he harnesses it differently for different purposes, but on these tunes he's got some serious pipes in the traditional sense.

I've never heard it. I understand it is an album of remixes from the "Guero" album. I'm not much of a "remix" guy, so I'll need some sellin'.

What's the status on his new record?? Last year there were 2 singles and new record was almost announced, then it became very silent....

The Gnarls Barkley albums are two of my favorite '00's albums. I was really high on Danger Mouse when "Modern Guilt" came out.

Aw man, I love all of those too. Not a bad track in the bunch really. What do you think -- slight nod to the first album?

I was just wondering the same thing. I used to give the nod to the second album, but now that it's been a while (© Staind) I'd have to go with the first one. A little more memorable front to back.

I'd probably put both in the C- category at best.
