I've never listened to them before as this genre isn't something that I have shown too much interest in. I did download the above album and think it is pretty good. It sounds like it would be good music just to have on in the background. I like it but couldn't really see myself sitting down and listening to this with a pair of headphones while on the computer or driving in the car.

Good Guys Boards of Canada:

1) Offer mp3 download for album pre-order days before album is released
2) vinyl arrives on day of release
3) email this morning saying that free FLAC upgrades are now ready for download

Amazing. Their best yet? I think so. It flows together so perfectly and each track has so much depth.

Finally got the LP this past weekend and yeah, it is pretty fucking awesome. Wouldn't say it is their best, but it is a nice return to their dark form of their earlier days.

Maybe I was a bit forgetful of MHTRTC's awesomeness. Man, that's an awesome record.

I see you're in LA. Did you go to the new album listening event at that abandoned water park near Barstow?

I didn't. I wish I did, but I had no idea if it was going to be a weird one-song event or if it was something more fruitful (as it turned out to be). I didn't want to drive 5 total hours unless I had some assurances.

That was pretty wild. It was funny after the clue in London that some people tracked down the abandoned gas station near Barstow in the video and went out there in search of more clues.

Anyway, I was so excited for this album I purchased it on vinyl even though I don't have a record player yet. Guess I better get on that...
