What does this mean
When I lived in Yuma there was a radio station that didn't have any DJs at all. They would fill the hours with songs and commercials but no one ever talked. Made for great listening, not so much for figuring out a song you liked. For example, there was a song with an electronic rhythm and backing with weird abstract lyrics and I remember thinking one day, "I bet that's Radiohead. I don't want to like Radiohead." At the time Kid A was superhuge and I felt like the critics were up their asses with the praise. Turns out it was Radiohead. Idioteque, to be precise. Man I was a tool - Kid A was amazing.
Anyway, there was this other song they were playing a lot that was kind of quiet and contemplative with someone playing acoustic guitar and someone singing and maybe something else? I don't know, it was hard to describe. (It's even harder to describe now, 18 years later, because I know what song it is.*) Anyway, I went to the local music store and asked about it a couple times. (Yeah, it is just like going to a bookstore and asking for that book, the one by the guy, with the blue cover?)
I got quite a few suggestions from the employees - Candlebox was one - but this Eve 6 album was another. The song wasn't on there but I dug the album. The run of songs opening the album are pretty good by 2000 standards, and I still listen to the album now and then.

The Pop Punk tournament got me listening to some songs that I used to listen to at my cabin while wake boarding and knee boarding during the summers with my brother and our friends. Eve 6 is a band that we loved to blast while out on the boat. The first several songs from their “Horrorscope” album are songs I still really love hearing from time to time. These are my favorites. If you haven’t given these a listen before, you should. Honestly, I don’t think I really know any of their other songs, but I love these. doone, back me up.
Always!

Everyone else is a dork.
Yes, the people that don't like this band are dorks.
Every bit of this thread is meant as at least somewhat ironic, Rudd. Yes, I like Eve 6. Yes, I know they suck. But there’s something fun and melodic (and nostalgic for me) about this band that I enjoy. I don’t expect anybody else to get it, it’s fun that maybe a couple people do. The lyrics I’ve posted in this thread were specifically picked because of how crazy and awful they are. At the same time, the sophomoric nature of the lyrics is half the fun in these songs. Anyway, I’m in on the joke, but it’s still you dorks missing out on the fun that is Eve 6.
