I recently watched the Nu Metal episode of Metal Evolution. In it, David Draiman says he never identified with his Nu peers because while they were influenced by hip-hop, he was influenced by reggae. Now that's all I can hear in his vocals.
At one point in "Praise", the guy yelling underneath the lead singer shouts something that sounds like "She bangs!" and it makes me think of William Hung every time.
Anyway, neither of these songs do anything for me. I'll vote for "Voices" because the video is funny
Hey, I remember that Sevendust song! I tended to enjoy hearing it on the radio when it was popular, or at least among most of the other tripe of the time. That tripe includes stuff like this Disturbed song, and in fact, probably all Disturbed songs. I see what can make them appealing to others, but I can't get past Draiman's histrionics. My vote goes to "Praise."
