Anthony Kiedis works as the singer for RHCP, but there is an ocean of difference between RHCP with John Frusciante doing harmonies and every other iteration of the band.

Tortoise did a single song with Al Johnson from US Maple, and I'm convinced they should just turn this into a regular band.

It is. I forgot Lally sang a track on The Argument.

Noted, but it will go on your permanent record.

There should have been more than one Steely Dan song with Walter Becker on vocals.

Spiral Stairs should have probably had more songs on Pavement records, but that little bitch Malkmus wasn't having it.

I'm also a huge Lou Barlow fan (Sebadoh > Dinosaur Jr.), so I prefer more Barlow singing/songs on Dino Jr. albums.

Anyway, Lee & Kim are both better than Thurston. Kim's output quality is wildly all over the place, but like 90% of the Lee songs are awesome.

Yeah, Lee and Kim's songs always instantly stood out for me. "Wish Fulfillment" and "JC" are probably my 2 favorites from Dirty.

Emily Haines > Kevin Drew

Bilinda Butcher's voice is way better and generally more fitting of MBV's sound than Kevin Shields' stupid voice.

Sonic Youth is tricky, because they split the singing duties up roughly:

Thurston: 60%
Kim: 20%
Lee: 20%
I don't think those percentages are right. Kim was lead singer on more than 20%, and Lee on less than 20%.

Maybe 55-33-12

i must have played The Sebadoh 1000 times when it came out too. i loved that album for some reason. "Flame" is still a super great, catchy song.

The five album run of Sebadoh III, Bubble & Scrape, Bakesale, Harmacy and The Sebadoh is amazing.

I'd probably go Bakesale as my fav.

i never listen to his solo albums, but i was pleasantly surprised by Phil Selway's vocals. i had zero expectation. it's interesting to hear how influenced he is by Thom Yorke's singing (when Thom sings)
