Kacey Musgraves is amazing. She' quickly becoming one of my favorite artists and I still haven't even heard all of her first record.
definitely check it out. it's probably my favorite. like most debut albums, it's less produced (not to say it's gritty whatsoever, but compared to her latest) and has more of a singer-songwriter feel to it.

I just don't like dump-consuming (that one's for you, b'snatch). I'm still really loving her second and third records. I want to wait to get to the first one for a bit longer. But I'll definitely check it out. 100%. She's amazing.
I'd never heard of her. Then she was on SNL. Then she delivered an "epic" performance on James Corden's show. While I'm admittedly not sure what was "epic" about the performance, I will say that I loved the song, "Velvet Elvis."
But more interesting to me was the song "High Horse" on SNL. I can't recall ever hearing a song that blended Country and Disco so perfectly and effectively. It was an amazing track and now I'm compelled by Ms Musgraves as an artist/performer.
Bottom line... I think I'm in love. This lady has something special and I'm looking forward to diving into her catalog.
I've been hearing "High Horse" at work a lot. Realized I was digging it, had to look it up. Had no idea who it was. Glad to see there's a thread on RM.

The new album has improved a bit with time, but it's still my least favorite of her albums. Still, this lady slays. I'm always happy when one of her songs comes on.
