also, i remember when up came out that the barry williams show was the first song released and that track is one of if not the least interesting (but most commercial sounding) song on the record, so if this happens to be the case with panopticom then i am a-ok with that.

Hi there,

If there’s anyone out there who actually wants to do a deep dive into the music from i/o and how it was created we’re resurrecting the Full Moon Club here as a membership club with a subscription for the price of a cup of coffee every month.

We’ll put some other versions of every song in here, whether it’s another mix, maybe a demo, or perhaps more than one demo just showing how the thing got created or what some of the ideas that influenced the lyrics might be.
This will be for the hardcore, we’ll be doing these full moon releases so just look up at the sky and check out when the moon’s getting bigger and you'll know there's something new coming your way.

Along with the full moon club we’re going to try and learn, so we’d appreciate some feedback as to what might be of interest for you… we may put in extra tracks or some other live stuff, I don’t know... tell us what you’re interested in and we’ll see if we can rustle it together.

A few of you may well have bought Panopticom, so there are few extras already available here that will hopefully make up for that including an extended Full Moon Club video where we start to deep dive into the making of Panopticom.

I hope a few of you stick with me for the ride.

Panopticon (Dark Side mix) is by Tchad Blake and released tomorrow. Apparently every song from the album will get a Bright Side Mix (Mark Spike Stent) and a Dark Side Mix (Tchad Blake). No word on what the album proper will have.

Whole album is getting an Atmos mix as well. Panopticom “Inside Mix” available now.

All sorts of speculation on physical release packages, as nothing has been announced yet. Don’t care enough to try to get every version. Everything else being equal, I’d prefer a Tchad Blake vinyl release.

I think he’s just mixing? Not entirely sure. Most of his signature tricks have gone digital, I don’t think he does much of the “microphone in a coffee can” stuff anymore.

New track “The Court” is good. It’s driven by the drums/percussion and bass. Pete’s vox are good but the lyrics are a bit goofy. I think it’s about the court of public opinion? There’s a cringey line about mobile phones.

The Court (Bright-Side Mix) was released yesterday. As mentioned, all Bright Side mixes are being done by Mark "Spike" Stent, and all Dark Side mixes by Tchad Blake. I think I prefer Stent's poppier mix for this track:

New song Playing For Time is great. It’s a ballad in the vein of Here Comes the Flood, Indigo, Washing of the Water. The eventual liftoff doesn’t quit hit the high I want it to.

yeesh

this is what's available for the st. paul show a day+ after onsale. they've already blocked off the back of the floor and side uppers from purchase. the dark blue seats are all regular priced tix, too. after fees, it's $85/ea for nosebleeds, $135/ea for end lowers, $200/ea for back half of floor/sides, and $300/ea for front half of floor/sides.

looks like peter's priced himself out.

my tix are floor tix on the aisle near the soundboard, and i'm ok paying what i did, but i definitely could have waited to see what shook out.
