I think it's difficult to curate a bar playlist. It depends so much on the neighborhood, the season of the year, the typical clientele, etc.

For me, I want songs that I know that are largely melodic. I want verity. I want rhythm and melody. But so much depends on mood and time of day/year.

It's nice to have Sonos on your phone and be able to queue up new songs as the mood of the evening ebbs and flows.

I end every single Saturday night here with the appropriate "(Looking For) the Heart of a Saturday Night."

I've got "And Through the Wire" playing at the bar as I type.

It's interesting to me that this is the Peter Gabriel song you've really latched onto, but have at it!

I mean, for a bar playlist it's certainly the catchiest thing on Melt.

That's fair, though I'd say that I Don't Remember is the better radio-ready song off that album.

This isn't a thing anymore. We switched to an in-house system. I can still build my own playlists, but now I'm limited to what's available on the hard drive.
