You guys think The Cure will ever release a new album?
4:13 is the only album of theirs I don't have on my Itunes, because I hated it when it came out, but Bloodflowers and the self titled have held up pretty damn well over time for me.

I didn't give it any time on release but 4:13 Dream actually has some pretty great songs buried under messy production. I made a retracked version using a few of the b-sides that I really enjoy.
By biggest issues with the post-WMS Cure records are: - Jason Cooper (totally different feel to every other drummer they've had); - terrible production (one of the things about the great Cure records is their sense of space, which is totally absent on the last few records); - lack of sonic experimentation (lots of reliance on boring mid-tempo rockers, almost total abandonment of lighter and weirder moments post-WMS).

I don't know if any of the songs left would make my top 20, even 30.
I'm guessing that 3 weeks ago, had I offered you odds of 2-1 that this exact situation would arise come 8 songs left in this tourney, you wouldn't have laid money down.
<Edit> Reading this later it is confusing. My point was that I felt Spenno would not at all be surprised with this situation.

Just want to shout out to Spenno for not only running this whole shemozzle, but also for the considered thought that's most obviously gone into the youtube video song selections. I've loved checking these out.
The Cure absolutely do not phone it in. Thanks Spenno!

Yeah thanks Spenno, I'm a bit surprised at the lack of love for The Cure on here, but I guess they aren't Janelle Monae, The Mynabirds, The National or Steely Dan. How can Robert Smith keep up with those luminaries?

It's an all-Disintegration final four, folks!
(I am mildly disappointed in you all.)
I was expecting this, I think all those Disintegration vs. Pornography rounds made it happen. Also At Night somehow dethroning One Hundred Years and Fascination Street in that one round.
