WTF?!

I came here to sing the praises of this album. First listen, halfway through (By and Down), and I'm surprisingly impressed....

...and equally disturbed by the monkey shit being slung around here at it!

Oh well, I felt the same about LB, back in 2K13...

...the more things change, yadda yadda

:shake:

what if the same happens with the next tool album?

the next tool album is always 'coming soon'

he's gotta conquer the world first....takes time.

When you’re listening to A Perfect Circle, just remember that they’re not like other bands. Their music is incredibly artistic, almost to the point where you have to be paying complete attention to them to even remotely understand them. I remember listening to a song on Thirteenth Step (though I can’t remember what it was), where I thought a song was absolute bollocks during the listen. Then, I closed my eyes for a second, and all of a sudden the song had an entirely new meaning. It was insane the way A Perfect Circle could just become something so different when you take a look into the music.

Another thing you should note about A Perfect Circle is that it’s easy to get a headache listening to them. Not because they’re a bad band, but because of how many ideas their music is riddled with and how complex they are. Soon enough your head will fill to the brim and the rest will just sound like noise to you. Just turn it off and give it a listen the next day.

If you don’t like the music, you’ll definitely at least enjoy reading through the lyrics, and picking apart the song itself and all of the artistic values that go into making it the complexity that it is.

APC is just watered down Tool. Never liked them.

So are my headphones going bad or is there a severe lack of bass on the album? It all sounds so 'high', for lack of a better word.

no. Tool's drummer is better....and Adam Jones permeates Tool, , talented artist.....APC is more Billy Howerdel, a musician who came out of nowhere...different sounds, messages.

And Puscifer comes in with that bit of humor...but there's always a message from all 3 bands, its never for nothing....

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand A Perfect Circle. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical listener’s head. There’s also Maynard’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these songs, to realise that they’re not just music- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike APC truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Maynard’s existential catchphrase “Tugging a rhythm to the vision that's in my head” which itself is a cryptic reference to auto-eroticism. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Billy Howerdel’s genius songwriting unfolds itself in their earbuds. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have an APC tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

Last night laying in bed with computer, about to watch westworld. I was reading a quick review in the new APC album, and the album cover was on the screen. Wife looks over, "Are you ready to watch West..... What is that?? hahahahahahahahaha"

Why isn't this getting the Boarding House Reach treatment?
