Fuuuuuuuck I can't even deal with this album, it gives me anxiety it's so dark and sad and ominous.
New (and apparently last) Milo album is pretty good. Probably not as amazing as the one he released last year (who told you to think??!!?!?!?!) but I like it.
Adrianne Lenker (singer from Big Thief) released something yesterday so I should probably check it out.
Checked out Israel Nash's album Lifted based on a positive review. Its a lovely, summery listen that has a real 70's vibe to it and reminds me in many ways of Dennis Wilson's best stuff.
Listened to White Denim's Performance today. Really enjoyed this one. This is more like what I thought I was going to be getting with the Glorietta album based on the reviews here of that (I like that album fine enough but it hasn't yet really stuck with me). This one is a pretty straight-forward rocker with a good degree of soul thrown in as well. Not a difficult listen by any means, and it manages to keep my foot tapping from start to finish. It's fun, and that's alright with me.
Pretty sure this one will end high up on my year-end list.
I've always been a fan of Tony Joe White and grabbed his 2018 album Bad Mouthin' the other day. Its a great blues album, low, deep and slow. Today I found out that he passed away last week and now I'm real sad.
So file this one in the same category as "White Denim" above. The Record Company's album All of this Life scratches a similar middle-America rocky itch. Solid stuff here as well.

Here's Coming Home.
This is rapidly becoming my favourite album of the year. Really strong set here.
