Collaboration between Automatisme and Erinome, Post-Landscape 1, just came out on Neologist Productions. They also released a reissue of Automatisme's Automatisme 2 with a couple bonus tracks.

Next release on Constellation is the second album from Joyfultalk, Plurality Trip, out August 24. The first "single" is "Monocult."

Lastly (for this post), Vennart has a new album that just got finalized and is expected for release later this year, possibly in September. The lead off single is called "Donkey Kong," though it's not streaming anywhere as of yet. It can be got by signing up for his mailing list.

One of the girls from Warpaint has a solo album, just dropped yesterday and its good...Its TT´s Love Laws and sounds way more focused that the previous member solo album Jenny Lee´s Right On!

Both of them sound very much alike their band though...

Technically December 2017 but I finally got around to Robert Finley’s Goin’ Platinum. He’s got an awesome voice and the album has some real fun stuff on it. Amazing what someone can do. The guy was apparently an iron worker or something to that effect until he started going blind a few years ago and had to change careers in his 60s. Decided to sing. More power to him.

As do I, but goddamn the Vennart stuff is pretty great. I wish that British Theatre gave me the same vibes.

David Byrne had a great album come out earlier in the spring. With that album, YLT and Jicks I think I’ve bought more new music than the last two years combined.

We’re talking actual record store purchases here. Not new albums streamed.

Soccer Mommy is opening up for Malkmus on the Houston leg of the tour. I should check them out.
