I was playing some random Kamasi Washington performance from YouTube while outside playing catch with my son. My wife was repulsed, which means that it was good.

In the meantime, finally listening to Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite’s No Mercy in This Land. Musselwhite really seems to inspire and bring out the best in Ben Harper.

Strictly speaking a late 2017 album, but for me just discovered. Gaby Hernandez's Spirit Reflection album. This is a lovely full-album listen, "delicious samba-electronica from LA'. Features Kamasai Washington and Dexter Story. Lovely.

OK, in keeping with my current down-tempo, little bit of electronica vibe, here's another late 2017 release - Art Feynman Blast off through the Wicker.

"Fans of Ariel Pink, Sinkane and mild hallucinogens would do well to seek out this eye-opening, vibes-heavy debut."

And that's surely not a bad thing! Album is actually pretty varied within its generally relaxed mood. A solid listen, enjoyable.

Nope, definitely not a bad thing. But that one track sounds so much like a Screamadelica outtake.

Nice! Have always enjoyed Lord Huron. Saw him about 6 years ago at the TLA in Philadelphia. Great show.

Good read on the new Lord Huron album, which is spectacular. Should be 2018's A Deeper Understanding.
