The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Next up for Constellation is the third album from Jerusalem in My Heart, Daqa'iq Tudaiq, releasing October 5. The first half of the album is a four part reinterpretation of a classical Egyptian composition, while the second half consists of four original tracks.
Here's the first preview track, "Thahab, Mish Roujou', Thahab," one of the originals:
1. KIDS SEE GHOSTS 2. All Nerve - The Breeders 3. Heaven/Hell -Jeff Ament 4. Rainer Fog - AIC 5. ye - Kanye West 6. 7 - Beach House 7. Seymour Read The Constitution! - Brad Mehldau Trio 8. You Were Never Really Here - Jonny Greenwood
Roadside Graves are releasing a "digital box set" of rare and unreleased material tomorrow called "God Makes Junk: 2001-2016." Easiest $8 I ever spent.

The new Interpol is absolutely badass. It boggles my mind that so many asshat critics just bash it as if it’s garbage. What the hell are they listening to?
I've been enjoying this album a fair amount .

i've given up on searching out "new" music, meaning i don't necessarily need to listen to stuff released in 2018. i'm currently more excited about a few specific back catalogs.
Your commitment to new music is impressive. I feel like I'm in a slump.
Thanks. But it's really not that impressive. I haven't done this kind of thing for a few years, really. Like every three or four years (or whatever) I get a wild hair and dive into a lot of music. Then I just listen to all the stuff I already know for a couple of years before getting another wild hair. I'm maddeningly inconsistent with searching out new music.

Same. The past few years I've sought out more new stuff than usual; this year, besides keeping up on some new releases by artists I'm already into, I feel like I've been pretty content to enjoy what I have (sometimes it piles up faster than I can get familiar with it, so phases like this help me absorb).

Justin Vernon & Aaron Dessner's Big Red Machine is out today.
Ill listen to this one today.
So I just listened to this. It's the first Vernon record that I think is compelling; the production ranges from serviceable to really terrific. I just won't ever be able to latch on to his voice and lyrics, though. Still a great effort -- I know when the problem is with me and not with the artist.
My list so far, more or less in order. Let's hear it for white men!
s/t, Marie/Lepanto Vide Noir, Lord Huron The Horizon Just Laughed, Damien Jurado Hundred Acres, S. Carey Life Is Good on the Open Road, Trampled By Turtles
Hell-On, Neko Case Summertime Songs, Field Report s/t, Big Red Machine Unsung Passage, The Dead Tongues The Tree of Forgiveness, John Prine
People Are My Drug, Phil Cook Consolation EP, Protomartyr Don't Skip Out on Me, Richmond Fontaine How to Socialize and Make Friends, Camp Cope
Need More Time, but so far so good: Dude the Obscure, T. Hardy Morris Thank You for Today, Death Cab for Cutie Hawaii, Collections of Colonies of Bees What Heaven is Like, Wussy
