Holy shit the score to Phantom Thread is astonishingly gorgeous. Beyond the film itself and even the film's use of the music, this is a complex, lush and evocative collection in its own right. Bach, Chopin, Satie; Baroque, Romanticism, Minimalism -- it's all woven together so beautifully and filtered through Greenwood's own voice. This might be even better than his amazing score for The Master. "House of Woodcock" is going to be in my head for a while.
Quoting Plat from another thread here. There must be something in the year for original score's. Graham Coxon (of Blur) did the original score for the Netflix show "End of the F***ing World" and it is pretty damn good. In particular though this slice of post-punk awesomeness is well worth a listen:

I'm also now listening to Richmond Fontaine's new album "Don't Skip Out on Me", which is actually an original score/soundtrack intended for his new Willy Vlautin novel. It is really beautiful and (so far - 6 songs in) perfect background music.

Thanks for the tip. The novel is in my too read pile but I had no idea a soundtrack existed.

Have you read his other two books?
Yep, read all of them. Love them all but Lean on Pete is the one that really stuck with me. He's an incredible writer.

If you like Richmond Fontaine make sure to check out Willy's other band The Delines. Basically RF with a female singer. Kinda has a late night country soul vibe. A few of the songs are pretty much deleted scenes from his books.
