New El Ten Eleven album, Banker's Hill is out August 10 on Topshelf Records. It's their first time working with an outside producer and releasing on a label that is not their own.
Preview track is called "Phenomenal Problems."
As a bonus, here's a video of them playing the song live in the house studio that the album was recorded in:

I saw Prine last year in concert, and even in his old age, put on one of the best concerts I've ever seen. And I've seen him a bunch, too. Time to step your shit up, Pearl Jam.
Also, never pass up a chance to see Prine live
Fuck this album is so good. Like an old friend who knows how to fit it perfectly without giving me any shit.

Just gave John Prine a listen, nice one.
I am a big fan of heart-on-sleeve Oz poppy-rock and The Hard Aches last album was a cracker, so I had high hopes for their new one. I've been listening to it off and on for the past few months and gotta say it delivers. I dare say I'm one of only a few on RM that will care for this stuff, but hey.
The new album features our own Georgia Mac from Camp Cope on a few tunes, that's gotta be good.
Here's the lead and title track, Mess.

Not really into the new Lykke Li album so far. It's like in some weird in-between. Not really dark and atmospheric like her earlier stuff, but also not especially poppy or memorably melodic.

One day in the not too distant future, my wife and I will finally make it to Italy. We will hire some sort of sporty euro convertible and we will drive the beautiful windy roads of the North. It will be high summer and we will laugh and smile. She will wear a scarf in her hair, I will wear a short-sleeved linen shirt. And this will be our soundtrack.
