I'll walk that back a bit. It's just kind of ordinary when compared to the two songs it's following.
I do like the instrumental bridge, and how the bass does a little swivel thing into "I don't know why"-- feels like something out of some 1950s dance craze.
Yeah this is crazy repetitive and it's not really doing much for me

"On a Plain" also feels like filler. A boring song built around one great 4-second section-- "love myself / better than you". The verses are pretty boring aside from that one repeated line, and the chorus is a whole lot of nothing. The bridge is nice, though, wish there was more to it.

I played a cover of this song for my school's talent show when I was 13. I was playing the cello at the time. My friend's band played 3 songs and they asked me to step in for this one, the set closer. It was a disaster. Not only were we really bad but the sound at the place was garbage, so we sounded like horrible feedbacky mush. I was so embarrassed I didn't show up to class for 3 days. Anyway, I don't like this song

Though it's available on Spotify, my copy of Nevermind growing up didn't have "Endless Nameless" so I'm stopping here.
All in all, I like this album better than I remembered but it's still not one of my favorites. Four great tracks and then eight others I'd be perfectly comfortable never listening to again.
Officially sanctioned representatives of the grunge era should include: One of the first three PJ albums. Nevermind Siamese Dream Superunknown Purple Dirt Singles

Alright, I'm going to attempt to rank all of these albums for no particular reason at all:
In Utero Superunknown Siamese Dream Dirt Badmotorfinger Jar of Flies Vitalogy Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Vs. Core Down on the Upside Purple Alice in Chains Nevermind Ten Gish Pisces Iscariot Bleach Tiny Music: Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop Incesticide Sap No Code
I voted for No Code, Jar Of Flies and Superunknown. However, all four Pearl Jam albums are close to my heart, and one of the first three should probably have gotten the third vote. Purple, Siamese Dream and In Utero are all top albums from the three remaining bands, and more than worth a mention.
