always would end up rhyming Vietnow over top of this

and now I see that this was actually an influence for Vietnow:

Quote:
Influence
Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello has often cited "The Wanton Song" as a major influence for the verse riffing for "Vietnow".

They went out like Guns N Roses - explosive debut followed by 2 more incredible albums that pave the way for all-time greatness.... and then a sub-par album of covers and it's over. Boo.

Good analogy altho I enjoy Guns a lot more still I never noticed that before

Renegades isn't sub par. About a billion times better than the spaghetti incident.

Otherwise agree though.

Boo, indeed.

Maggie's Farm and How I Could Just Kill a Man make that album at least 3 stars alone.

It's amazing how so many of De La Roca's lyrics still ring true.

I just listened to No Shelter and it's like holy shit, written 20 years ago and perfectly describes the current climate.

Sad!

Ugh. This band is fucking brilliant. I really hope they come back again. It feels like the right time for it. Is Zach De La Rocha one of the greatest front man and vocalist of all time? He might be.

Im so glad i got to see them. TFC 1999. I remember all of East Troy wisconsin jumping up and down in unison the entire time. Just unreal.

So powerful.
