went to the show last night. that was quite the high-energy spectacle, despite ZdlR being relegated to sitting on a speaker case the whole show.

first, i forgot that run the jewels was opening. fuck, i forgot how good they are at commanding an audience. i've seen them twice before, and once at pitchfork fest with ZdlR. they definitely work better in a festival or smaller-venue. but they're so good. RTJ!

RATM was non-stop energy, as was the crowd. i haven't seen a mosh pit in 25 years. it reminded me of the first time i saw rage in 1993 at lollapalooza (followed by alice in chains and primus). i really miss a good old-fashioned mosh pit, which is easy for me to say because i wasn't in it last night.

all in all, despite ZdlR not hopping around, it was a great show. morello must be exhausted. the star of the show was commerford. he was a beast.

1. Bombtrack
2. People of the Sun
3 Bulls on Parade
4. Bullet in the Head
5. Testify (with "Revolver" intro)
6. No Shelter (Tour Debut)
7. Wake Up
8. Guerrilla Radio
9. Vietnow (Tour Debut)
10.Know Your Enemy
11.Calm Like a Bomb
12.Sleep Now in the Fire
13.War Within a Breath
14.The Ghost of Tom Joad (Bruce Springsteen cover)
15.Freedom
16.Township Rebellion
17.Killing in the Name

He injured his leg the previous show. Anyone know the exact injury?

He’s still sitting? Hope he’s healed by March 2023.

I regret not seeing them in Hamilton, but I've been enjoying the youtube videos.

Tim Commerford is my bass hero.
