Listening to Nirvana again lately, and In Utero is such a beast, though. Scentless Apprentice, Milk It and Radio Friendly Unit Shifter are hard as fuck. I would love to have heard those songs live.
Might move it up.
Couldn't care less about Nevermind or the Unplugged stuff anymore, though. Not that they are bad, I'm just not interested.

Yeah, In utero is awesome. Albini's production is unbelievable. Though it has a few tracks I could do without.
1 Pearl Jam: No Code (all time favorite, but one of the things that makes Pearl Jam special is that their first six albums are five star to me) 2 AiC: Jar of Flies (love this album, flawless) 3 Soundgarden: Superunknown (difficult to place this down the list, a bit like putting Ten down the list of PJ albums) 4. STP: Purple (just solid all the way through) 5. TotD (the highlights here are among the biggest highlights on this list of albums) 6. Nirvana: In Utero (very close with Nevermind, both are great at times, but both also have a few songs I don't care much for) 7. Smashing Pumpkins: Siamese Dream (I know it's highly praised and loved, but for my ears it is a bit uneven. I probably pick up Adore or even the Greatest Hits more, but I can't deny that SD is a great album) 8. Mad Season: Above (highlights as big as those on TotD, but less of them, and more lesser songs)

Ahh, I see I messed this up. My first clue was when Joey had an SP album on his list at all, and when everyone suddenly started really loving mad season
Vitalogy: Pearl Jam Jar of Flies: Alice in Chains Siamese Dream: Smashing Pumpkins Nirvana: Nevermind Superunknown: Soundgarden Purple: Stone Temple Pilots Above: Mad Season Temple of the Dog: Temple of the Dog (a distant 8th. I'd rank every album in this thing above ToTd)
