this will be open until Saturday morning. The finals will run through the weekend. I'll close it out Monday morning unless the total is within three votes, in which case I'll leave it open for a weekday.

The Day I Tried To Live vs Burden in my Hand? Not the final I anticipated. Having been a Soundgarden fan for 25 years, I expected the likes of 4th of July, Slaves & Bulldozers etc to make more impact, as they've attained cult-like status over the years. Still, I remember when I first heard TDITTL and thinking Cornell's voice was un-human, it was that good. It's far from my favourite song now, but it is a powerful song. I still love BIMH too - such a solid track with beautifully subtle undertones. Two worthy finalists.
