Kinda surprised that no one on here has brought up the fact that Godspeed You! Black Emperor's legendary first cassette, All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling, has apparently been released on a 4chan thread. There's been a lot of fakes over the years, but I and many others are pretty sure that this one's the real deal. It's weird and sketchy with a lot of vocals that sound just like Efrim on it. I don't know if I'd call it good, but it's fascinating and some of the sketches are quite lovely in that God's Pee way. Here it is on YouTube:

Follow-up to my previous post: it's the real thing. Efrim acknowledged it today with an interview on Vish Khanna's Kreative Kontrol (https://play.acast.com/s/3854f6b7-dd07-5986-9cab-9e69ded2bcbd/620987182517550015be1649) and, in collaboration with Constellation Records, put it up on Bandcamp with all proceeds going to provide medical oxygen to those in need in the Gaza Strip:

Tortoise is not what I would call post rock. I don't care if they "invented" it.

Technically not post-rock, strictly speaking, but I know where to find my audience:

It’s Godspeed You! Black Emperor at god-tier, then Sigur Ros, then Mogwai a distant third. Prove me wrong.

Balmorhea is in the running somewhere; I love "All is Wild..." and "Clear Language" is my go-to meditation album
