I've seen this high on many UK AOTY lists. I tried (and will listen again) but it didn't stick with me although it is truly quite a listen. Joey, you should hear this for sure.

Pitchfork just dropped their top 50 of the year. I love three of their top 10, which probably represents the most overlap I've had with Pitchfork in over 10 years. I'll check out a few of their other top picks.
I watched this and then listened to some of her album this morning -- I know she's talked about how big of an influence Taylor Swift is on her, and man you can really hear it. And not just in the way that widely popular artists always spawn copycats; it feels "studied," like TS's writing style, melodic tendencies, etc. are genuinely ingrained in this music's DNA.
I know this kind of thing happens all the time, I always just find it interesting to see the way musical "generations" inspire each other, and how Taylor Swift (whose arrival in the music world I remember clearly) is now to other people what Pearl Jam were to me (i.e. artists I grew up with and looked up to).
