A few exceptions aside, I didn't find much that stuck with me in 2017 so I'm looking forward to working my way through a few of these mixes soon.

In terms of new releases, I probably listened to Alice Coltrane's posthumous World Spirituality Classics 1 more than anything else:

Definitely worth your time and I'm not just saying that. Nance is a prolific maniac. Wireheads are cool down under band and those Milk Music freaks totally got me back on board after being really disappointed with their first full length.

The Mount Eerie was my favorite record of last year, but it's NOT an easy listen.

It just really hit close to home.

It's cool because they're all on bandcamp

Checking wireheads first

Gone through Chewm and Higgs' mixes a couple times now.

I like 'Girl Songs' more than 'Boy Songs' on Higgs's mix. "Thirty" and Camp Cope's version of "Maps" are highlights, and I enjoyed that King Krule song on the Boys' side.

As for Chewm's, I liked Xiu Xiu, Perfume Genius, Lanegan, and Protomartyr.

You're both quite welcome. I hope you find something to enjoy in among my weirdness.

I haven't got around to checking any of these out except for Kreng's, which has a number of interesting tunes. Hopefully I can rectify that at some point.

 which stand out for you?

Off the top of my head, Ahmed Malek & Flako, F. S. Blumm, David Grubbs, Kamasi Washington, and Protomartyr.

that Ahmed Malek & Flako album is probably my favorite of the year

That Mount Eerie album is affecting. Jesus. Not sure I’ll listen again.
