Ah yes. Here in the Carolinas they call them Palmetto bugs, I guess to fool everyone into thinking they aren't cockroaches. But they are gigantic, fly, and it doesn't matter how clean your house is or what kind of pest control you have, you will inevitably be sitting at home watching TV in the evening and see one crawling on the wall or ceiling, just waiting to drop down on you.
