Boy, these progressive lenses are a huge scam am I right? Holy shit I feel ripped off.

-1.75 in both eyes. Just bad enough to need contacts/glasses for driving and seeing detail in the distance.

What are prog. lenses? Do they change time signatures regularly? Have unique pronouns?

Like mood rings, they change colors when you're pissed or embarrassed or gassy

Vision is still 20/20, but I use cheaters sometimes. Mainly to read the phone.

Got PRK surgery five years ago and still have close to 20/20.

I wear contacts the majority of the day. I use 1.50x readers.

Last year I tried the multi-focal contact lenses, that supposedly allow you to see both far and up close, reducing or eliminating the need for readers.

It was amazing to be able to see up close without readers, but then when you went past 5ft or so, it looked slightly off, like in a dream, where it appeared to be in focus but not quite. I decided not to order them and went back to my normal lenses and will just deal with readers.

i got my glasses at 40. tried using contacts but like rachel on friends or andy on the office i could not put something in my eye no matter how hard i tried

I can’t put eye drops in my own eyes. I close the eye before the drop gets in there every time.

They are the stupidest invention ever conceived, attempting to solve three problems at once, and giving you no peripheral vision as a bonus. Basically everything is blurry.

Sorry, Burt. I have progressives as well and it is a pain in the ass at times with the blurriness.

I shelled out for the midlevel distortion on the sides. Should I have gotten the premium version with minimal distortion on the sides?

I don't know your situation. I only get the progressives with blue light protection and scratch resistance, which, to be honest, is kind of bullshit.
