We have one TV, then in any room where you’d expect to see another TV we just have a framed placard that reads “better than Jorge.”

I only have one in each bedroom and one in the living room. How do you get to 7?

Each kid has a TV in their room bought by themselves. We have a TV in our room and the spare bedroom also has an old TV in it. Then there's the upstairs lounge room, the TV in the garage for watching the footy and our actual TV TV in the lounge room.

We own a stupid number of TVs and I'd never really considered it before.

Same. We’re up to 6

We have 2 (one in the primary bedroom and the other in a living room). When we remodeled the basement, there was a conscious choice made to not have a TV in the upstairs living room. It's been a good thing for our family.

The thing about TVs is that they never stop working, barring an accident. So it's easy for them to pile up, even without trying.

When you reference your “home town” do you mean where you live right now? Where you were born? Where you grew up? What if you moved around a lot as a kid? Does your answer change depending on the context or where you are?

Right now if I were making a comment about my home town I would probably go with where I lived from age 6 to 19.

If I was traveling and referenced my home town I would probably refer to where I live right now.

We grew up in a small rural town in south central PA, and no one ever would know exactly where it was when we said the name. We were about 20 minutes outside of Hershey, PA so my dad and grandfather would always tell people we were from there. It always confused me as a little kid, but then I got it as I got older.

I'm probably the same as bammer. I would often tell people I grew up in Hartford, though technically I grew up in East Hartford. Yes, there's a difference. Now I say I'm from OKC...even though I don't live in OKC proper, but a suburb just outside the city limits.

and on occasion, I'll say, "I grew up in..."

I'm from a tiny village that no one has ever heard of, even thirty minutes away, so I usually just go with a nearby town. But I often say "near New Orleans" because that's the closest city of any size.
