Thanks guys.
That’s awesome Norm. We had the same experience BUT we had to preface it with two weeks of “the binky fairy is coming and she’ll take your binky and leave a present.” No problems at all.

Four year checkup this morning. Glad to see the kid’s over her weird phobia of the scale and height measuring, but four shots and a finger prick wasn’t fun. She was very brave though.
I assume I’ll pay for this torture when she gets home from school later.

My son hasn't had a job since he got back from his Euro trip in August last year. He's been studying and living on his savings that have almost run out. Can't fault him for money though as he hasn't asked us for any at all. Can fault him for a lack of effort in getting paid work and too many hours (a) at home and (b) on his gaming PC.
Things came to a head recently as he's been putting out job applications for the type of work he wants to do with his degree (that he is finishing online over the next 12 months) but not actually getting any responses. My take was "enough applications, time to just get some paid work" meaning go work at a bottle shop or supermarket or wherever, just get out of the fucking house for at least 15 hours a week and start getting paid.
Anyway, finally gets an interview yesterday, gets notified today he's been offered the job. Good pay, in his field and means he will be heading off to live in Broome (where he was born) for the next 12 months at least.
Happy fucking days. Gonna miss him being 2,500kms away but also thank God.
Suppose I'd best get the boat serviced and ready for action again!

That’s great Higgs! For him and you. Our oldest is second-year in college right now and other than making $50/week singing in a church in Sundays, she brings in no income at all. And we’re about to have a come-to-Jesus meeting with her.

For posterity: My kids baseball team was down by 10 runs last night but we came all the way back and the 1B made up for his 3 errors with a walk-off RBI single.
Doug, it’s tough to tell from the Go Pro camera replay, but that last pitch may or may not have been a slider.

My almost 3 year old has started to wake up in the middle of the night 1-2 nights a week and it is killing my sleeping schedule. It's like their little brains can't compute all of the new things they learn every day. He's running while dribbling a basketball now. Seems like he could barely even run a few months ago.

Are you talking about the Mad Bull Meaties? One of the local footy teams? He played for the Saints as a junior so his heart lies there I'd say.
Idk. An Aussie I served with in the middle east was from near Broome and used to talk about FC Meatworks, but that is my memory. Maybe it was Meaties? Lol either way. That dude was a fucking nut.
