I happened to learn that someone with whom I went to high school (that I was never really friends nor non-friends with) is now the vice president of a bank or something. Now, I have never wanted to be the vice president of a bank, but I can't help but feel troubled by this. Some days I am OK and even happy about being a layabout and a fuck-up. Most days, even. But maybe I would have been even happier as the vice president of a bank

I ran into someone I knew years ago, didn't go to school with him, but I think he's VP of a bank also. We were having lunch at the same place so I guess that makes us equally as important.

Sometimes the affluent will go to McD’s just to feel the rush of poverty
