uh oh, looks like bitcoin is not haram.

Quote:
The Turkish government has declared that bitcoin is not accordant with Islam and warned citizens against buying the cryptocurrency. Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs, known as Diyanet, said bitcoin is too often used for nefarious and illegal activities, and without regulation has become incredibly volatile. "Buying and selling virtual currencies is not compatible with religion at this time because of the fact that their valuation is open to speculation, they can be easily used in illegal activities like money laundering and they are not under the state’s audit and surveillance," Diyanet said. Bitcoin has not been authorized for use in the country.

I bought about 60 coins a few years ago, but not sure where I stored them. Any idea how I can track them down?

Fuck, that sucks big time. I never throw out hard drives, there's too much data that could be restored and used to steal my identity.

I heard about another one where the guy sold/traded his coins for some pizza a few years ago. The value of the coins would apparently now be in the millions.

If I had millions sitting in a landfill, I would live there until I found it.

So it begins. BTC will be worth 1 cent in a few months time. I pity those poor idiots that are buying up now at 10K.

When the drop starts, most of the long term holders will be like: "Don't worry, it's just a dip. It'll bounce back!"

4 months later: "I'm homeless!"

briefly sold at around 11k, but got bored so I bought back in and rode it up to 14k.

I got my finger on the sell button. The exchanges are garbage though, so if it tanks suddenly, the websites will crash and I won't be able to sell and I'll be poor again.

I'm working under the theory that the big money is buying up BTC in preparation for the futures that are coming next week. Then they'll dump it all and buy it back again for cheap.
