I had to read this a few times to figure out what happened: The address that was already on the envelope was a bad address so it was returned.

that's pretty freaky

but maybe it's not a conspiracy and really just because Chatham GA envelope printers are r*tarded ?

I've had important mail returned because it had my house address and not my PO box on it and the lady at the post office was a total cunt and wouldn't deliver it. She was eventually fired because of all the complaints.

The future of the Republican Party depends on it enacting a rather drastic and deeply self-reflective change.

24 incumbent House Republicans running for re-election have been sent home now, even after many of the most vulnerable chose retirement...so many that it was, in fact, the fifth largest exodus of seated party members in 44 years.

It'd be pretty funny after all this if the one House race that swung back to the GOP was Mia Love.

Now at 35 gains in the House. That was the highest end for predictions going in. Six or seven (?) seats still uncalled.

If you’re talking about 538’s “80% chance democrats gain somewhere between 25 and 51 seats,” or whatever, that’s more about probability than prediction. You could say that there’s a 95% chance that either democrats make gains or the world blows up, but it doesn’t mean you’re predicting the latter.

Nearly every goal post prediction going into Election Day looked like this:

Our final House forecast has Democrats earning 227 seats to the Republicans 208. That's a net gain of 32 seats from the 195 they hold right now. Democrats only need a net gain of 23 to win the 218 seats necessary for a majority.

i like that this still doesn't feel like it's a big Dem win tho, bc it keeps people hungry for 2020
