Clinton: I won places moving forward, Trump won places moving backward

Or it's honest. If you're clinging to coal and the return of mid 20th century manufacturing, which way are you looking?

I'm not saying it's wrong. But if Clinton's going to go out and try to give that lesson, you might as well surrender the country to Trump for the next 20 years. It's the "basket of deplorable." You win zero votes from the people you insult, and you probably lose more votes to people who are sympathetic.

Trump won because of the base of deplorables and a vast swath of independents who saw him as a viable alternative to Hillary Clinton, who they couldn't stand. I don't expect that to happen again, hence his approval rating.

Here's the thing, if we just let the person with the most votes become President we wouldn't have to worry about offending the deplorables.

I never underestimate the ability of Americans to make horrible decisions.

Clinton's not running for public office again, I don't know why anyone cares politically about what she's saying.

You don't think a Trump voter who was thinking he might've goofed wouldn't double down on his bet when he hears that Hillary insulted him for voting for Trump?

Right now, I don't see how Clinton being in the spotlight is good for Democrats. Especially when she's critiquing blue collar Americans.

--I don't think any Dem is going to run on the coattails of any of the Clintons again. The Clinton era ended with a loud thud in 2016.
--Dems need to work harder on the Obama->did not/could not vote and Obama->third party voters, instead of the Obama->Trump voters who may contain a higher percentage of lost causes.

What are the chances of Elizabeth Warren running?

She's got a reputation as an outsider and she's not a white male. Seems like a home run.

She's my senator and it's infuriating how many people buy into the right wing slander campaign against her.

Her weird insistence on a heritage that she clearly does not have is odd though.

Funny related story: my grandmother died thinking we were descended from the real Pocahontas. Not true (they were Seminoles I think), but hey, if it made her feel better, why tell her otherwise?

I'm a lot more native than that cracker, though.

My dad died thinking he was a descendant of Robert the Bruce, but the truth is he was just an asshole.

Did he ever forgive him for betraying William Wallace?
