Well as a person who believes strongly that immigration, technology, and free trade are positive and lead to growth and prosperity, the last week (even in comparison with the first 14 months) has been exasperating as Trump continues to make war against all three.

This isn't the first time there's been talk of sending US troops to the border. Under President George W. Bush, a border deployment of the National Guard known as Operation Jump Start started in 2006 and lasted two years. The operation sent more than 6,000 troops to California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas to repair secondary border fence, construct nearly 1,000 metal barriers and fly border protection agents by helicopter to intercept immigrants trying to enter illegally. In 2010, the Obama administration deployed National Guard troops as part of a border protection plan. Officials in 2010 said up to 1,200 National Guard troops would be in place along the US-Mexico border for up to a year to assist US Customs and Border Protection with surveillance and intelligence gathering while the agency worked to hire additional staff.
That is a totally reasonable thing to do as countries have a right to protect their borders from invasion.
Yea i can't be too upset about it. It makes more sense than a fucking wall.
Wait, isn’t a good chunk of the border private land? Wasn’t that already an issue when it was just going to be a wall?

Appraisal business is dying but i bet I could make one final hurrah and make my millions heading down to the border for Eminent Domain valuations.

people seem to forget how nauseating and endless the propaganda machine was during the bush-cheney years. right now we are experiencing a very low-end version. But I was pretty numb then too. We just got spoiled with 8 years of Barry O and forgot what it’s like when the people that own the country do whatever they want with the government.

The term "trade deficit" is going to go down as the misnomer that led to WWIII.
Seriously though it is such a misleading term that makes something that is perfectly fine sound awful.

Can we please officially change the term "trade deficit" to "goods surplus"?? It means the exact same thing but this guy would think that we're WINNING by $500 billion.

That's what Manafort said to him about fixing his finances with "special partners".

Man. imagine the chaos from trumps fingers if the Dems actually take over house and senate.
I don't want Trump to maintain power, but the idea of gridlock now seems worse.... civilization is approaching a tipping point. We need to be able to act, not tweet.

That's partly because few observers expected Mueller to make Trump a target of his criminal investigation owing to the legal uncertainty over whether a sitting president can be indicted.
I’ll admit I’m growing hazy on this but.... huh?
