In <36 hours we have had the president publicly denying eating paper and the White House comms team refusing to deny that a recording of him using the n-word exists.
Sometimes you really have to just step back and marvel at how normal totally insane feels right now.

My father, a Lubbock area Texan-turned-South Dakota business owner: “Most Republicans are just stupid people who will believe anything if they are told it by the right person.”
20-something me: “That’s absurd, close-minded, and reductive.”

It’s a Quinnipiac poll, with a 3.5% eom. If you’re actually concerned with validity, then look it up. If you’re not going to do as much as that, then you probably suspect that it’s accurate.

i just am curious what sample size they have chosen. the quantitative results are what they are. i am sure they are valid, but if this is based on like 3,000 people, i am not sure that I assign much value to the 51% figure as though it is representative of the majority of all republicans, given that there are like 50 million+ registered republicans in the U.S.
regardless, yes I accept the thesis that most registered republicans are morons at this point who could be tricked into eating their own shoes, and I don't require any new poll to prove that. the 2016 election results speak for themselves.
