What do you think happens when the first ICE/CBP agent is killed over this? Do you think the reaction will be "oh, well, we shouldn't have put those kids into cages in the first place" or... based on the history of the last 20 years... maybe something else? Call your representatives now. I did yesterday. We as a society need to be active in stopping the separations and this spiral into chaos right now.

Step two: introduce your own bills filled with additional Republican agenda items you know Democrats oppose.

Step three: denounce Democrats as not really caring about the kids because they oppose your bill, say they only want to use the kids to get votes. Refuse to consider any bill that doesn’t pay your ransom, and blame the people who won’t pay your ransom for the consequences of your hostage-taking.

Step four: McParadigm definitely has to read some idiot on a message board repeat some of your claims before it’s all over.

That's how the red team has worked for a while. Uninsured children, shutdowns, etc. They have little more ground left anymore and if they don't step up here, it's gone for good.

No, the past two years were littered with examples of why we needed to get the emotions out of immigration issues. Constant fear mongering has reached a level in which the discussion of people in cages has such little impact on a basic humanity/civility level that people think bringing up a celebrities tweet can deflect the issue.
