I had to the first time I heard it as well. WTF is wrong with people.

And did they name themselves? Because that's a pretty dumb name. Come up with something a little more cool sounding at least, you know?

Edit: Just finished reading the Wikipedia article. That's intense. Also I know someone who fits this profile really well. I should talk to him more often, see how he's doing.

Wow, the news cycle has already moved from yesterday. I guess with "only" two deaths it didn't have the staying power of Las Vegas or Pulse or even Parkland.

While I don't like the guy at all, how is this not a form of entrapment? She went to the website on purpose and met him on purpose and so now he's on the hook because she didn't feel like telling him she was under 18? That's kind of f'ed up.

That story doesn't say anything about whether he was aware of her age

I get the not-a-cop thing, and he should have inquired about her age definitely. Just feels weird that she went through this whole thing knowing she wasn't 18.
