Where would one’s right and liberty to shop at a grocery fall in all of this? Seems like it’s fallen into the hands of the criminal, no?
Armed baggers would prevent this.
Yeah, where were all the responsible gun owners to save these people?
In New York? I guess you haven't seen the killer's manifesto where he mentions New York's strict gun laws and "cucked" guns as factors he weighed in selecting a target.

Urban violence (including gun violence) has been a well-discussed issue for decades. There have been lots of measures taken to try to reduce it over that time period - ranging from legislation at state/city/federal levels, law enforcement strategies, community action, etc, etc.

Success has been mixed.
Why would you think it's normalized?

Great replacement theory isn’t about immigration policy. It’s about attributing direct and existentially threatening purposes for that immigration to your political opponents. It’s about making voters feel personally attacked by the presence of people who are not like them.
You do not need to believe in shit like that to have a hardline immigration position or policy. You do not need to accuse your perceived political opponents of a malicious plan to replace “real” Americans with “obedient” foreigners, in order to sell reduced immigration as a talking point. These things cannot be conflated.
Burt seemed uncharacteristically angry in your exchanges. I think you’re spot on.

Wow. What the fuck is that like? What a totally unique phenomenon!
Where are we on the transition from discussing the coalition of the ascendant as if it's not happening to it's happening and it's good and you deserve it?

Why would you think it's normalized?
In Chicago it's just another day when it happens
I feel like that response is a dodge.

But you can dodge an argument online twice in consecutive posts, it seems.

I was upset because i was doing really good last week ignoring the Current Thing™, and then I saw one stupid Facebook post and I was like FUCK, now I have to participate in the The Discourse™ and give my opinion on the Current Thing™ and now I'm not gonna get any work done because this is super important and relevant to my life and I really have some say in how any of the world events play out and my day was ruined!
