If Trump wins, I could see Obama doing this on the way out to fuck with him (however, I bet a Republican administration would find something to charge him with). However, if Clinton wins, I don't think Obama would wanna screw her like that (since her administration would continue the same policies regarding government leaks/data collection).

That was unexpected but ok. Just our national broadcaster, which is usually the mouthpiece of the govt and our govt is usually falling over itself to appease the US govt, is showing the Snowden doco right now. I never read up on this but looks fucking scary what he's going through.

Seems to me he's tellin the truth but it doesn't fit the US narrative and they're framing him as an enemy whereas the clever thing would be to involve him and let people make up their own mind.

I actually have great respect for the way he dumped his information as opposed to someone say Assange. Snowden understood that the information he obtained had to be vetted and responsibly published for public consumption. That's why he gave them to well regarded journalists.
