Second round of Colombian presidential elections today. Pretty hilarious that the trad-right candidate was easily overpowered by a joke candidate who at this point seems poised to become the next president. It shows just how far Uribism has fallen in the country.

Is there a former FARC member in the running?
No, you're probably thinking of Gustavo Petro, a former member of the M-19. And a pretty crummy former mayor of Bogotá. I voted for him (I couldn't in good conscience vote for Rodolfo Hernandez, the aforementioned joke candidate) but I'm not thrilled about it and I'm fairly certain he won't win.

Some people upset that Juneteenth is a holiday now. Claiming it’s made up (it’s not) or that it’s woke political correctness. The end of slavery in the US is just woke PC ? You’re really upset that some people get an extra day off in early summer?

We exchanged Columbus for Juneteenth. Id prefer a fall holiday as it's 95 here today but otherwise haven't heard anyone complain
