It was always said that his lack of integrity and honesty was "factored into the price" when the Tories made Johnson leader in 2019. It is therefore doubly sweet to see his own lies catch up with him and bring him down.

Imagine having one goal in your life, achieving it and being so utterly shit in post that you are forced out less than three years after a massive election win. He and the Conservatives fully deserve everything they get.

Good riddance.

The fallout continues unabated:

He apparently renounced his US citizenship some time ago. Can we retroactively charge him the exit tax and sanction him until he pays up? We need to rub it in that he choose poorly by going 100% into our vassal state over the motherland.

According to the comments, that’s not from today. It’s from 4 years ago.

Didn’t see that. But the scuffle outside the voting lane is all radio is talking about this morning. Two minor MPs were ‘manhandled’ into the correct voting lane in ‘a fight you’d see outside a bar on a Friday night’.

Truss is to be defenestrated today. Chair of the 1922 committee Sir Graham Brady (the tories governing body) has arrived at downing st for an unscheduled meeting.
She’s gone

She’s resigned. Shortest ever tenure as PM in history. Only 44 days

Now the tories are scrambling to find a unity replacement. But the party’s literally split seven ways til Sunday.

People are screaming for a general election. The tories have been in government for 11 years now.

Absolute insanity that the imbeciles in the Tory party would bring Johnson back. It could get extremely ugly if he’s back in charge.
