I assume there is an actual Israel/ Palestine thread, but it seems more appropriate to place this here. https://www-m.cnn.com/2018/01/14/middleeast/abbas-jerusalem-plo-meeting-intl/index.html Naming an alternate Palestinian capitol seems to acede to the concept as it exists. God damn it, I don't want to live in a universe where Scott Adams is right. |

https://labs.strava.com/heatmap/#3.47/22.02273/34.45339/hot/all Excercise app using fitbit and similar data is a pretty good way to identify US and coalition bases in Syria. Russians to a lesser degree, and apparently Iran and its proxies follow much better operational security. |

The Shock & Awe bombings in Iraq began 15 years ago today. I remember watching the first night at a bar. |

The Shock & Awe bombings in Iraq began 15 years ago today. It was the beginning of the end of the time I considered myself being a Republican. I remember watching the first night at a bar. |

Highway of death was the first one. Shock and awe was the disappointing low budget sequel. |
