I like that identified one of them as a 'planner'. Like ISIS is just some run of the mill midsize manufacturers with program managers, buyers, engineers, etc. You reckon they are on Linkedin?
How many times did we kill the "number two" of Al Qaeda?

I can't figure why they bothered with suicide bombers, except for the optics. Indirect fire would be far more disruptive to the evacuation effort. Do they not have a ready supply of Iranian 107mm rockets? If we don't have counter battery radar up, might as well make a day of it with some 60 or 82mm mortars.

So, that vehicle with supposed ISIS suicide bombers in it that we blew up actually contained an Afghan soldier, a translator, and some kids. Did we get targeting info from the Taliban or... ? Not the first time we murked civilians, but its not like we're lighting up every car in Kabul.

Now that we are hearing more of the breakdowns of Asylum Seekers vs US Passport holders vs SIVs that made it out:
Did they resolve the civilians on the runway issue by promising everyone inside the airport would get flown out to get processed elsewhere?
That doesn't really explain the limited helicopter ops for US passport holders and CIVs, but it certainly explains the chaos and why everyone in Afghanistan thought they could snag a golden ticket if they could vault into the airport.
