I think I’ve posted about this before. Google Maps has a solar thing where you give your address and they estimate the value of solar. My payback period was like 20 years or something so I passed when we remodeled the house.

Yeah I passed for the same reason. We do heat our pool with traditional panels and it rocks. We have great exposure.

I had one for my old commercial space, an 11kw Generac model. I think it was like $3K? I'll get one again when I'm a homeowner.

Check out https://theprepared.com/. They are apolitical, founded by some tech dudes that moved to the country (in part). They don't do sponsored reviews.

Now's the time to think about how to filter water, make fire, etc.

Wilderness medicine instructors pick the best tourniquets so you don't buy the wrong one and bleed out

Its a shame that the CHAZ/ CHOP medics weren't all subscribers.

I'm sure that for a tourniquet to effectively work, one must first apply it to the victim

If you are concerned about emergency preparadness from run of the mill natural disaters to ITEOTWAWKI, check out https://theprepared.com/

Apparently their traffic is spiking a bit this week before the election. I did enjoy the bit about the energy density of food vs cost, and giant wheels of cheese being pretty competitive with canned chili.
