Russia is way over due for a naval loss to Japan.
Roll of the dice
I love risk.
Does Japan have a navy? Or even a military? You never see them going on about it. I guess if they do it’s cutting edge advanced stuff. There’s a reason China doesnt fuck with them anymore

‘ Irish media reporting this morning that Russian embassy in Dublin has asked Irish govt to intervene because companies have stopped delivering fuel to the embassy and they are on verge running out. Also reports that Bank of Ireland has closed the embassy’s bank account.’
The surviving residents of Bucha, Ukraine, said the Russian soldiers kept asking them to show them their Nazi tattoos, which of course the Ukrainians did not have.

Fucking hell. Read this thread. Russian espionage at it big time in Northern Ireland and stoking tensions. Aided and abetted by factors in the British government and certain MPs

This might do something positive. Sanctions against Putins daughters. He has two we know of but he has two families and is intensely private. Suspected he has more. Presumably US intelligence etc know who they are. Two at least flit between London and Amsterdam and New York Theyre all getting sanctioned anyways. Interesting move
Seems highly speculative, but something unusual happened when the US and UK had such good intel leading up to it. They wiped all human assets out that the US had in Russia in the last decade, so this scenario would explain the how of intel collection.
The FSB was supposed to be the one competent org in Russia so I dunno.
Finland and Sweden expected to join NATO. That’ll get Putin riled up
I wonder how much of this is them being earnest vs them signalling Putin that he's being insane. Is this one of the last offramps third parties can offer?

Listening to a lot of podcasts on this war and they’ve nearly all covered Finland and Sweden joining NATO and had politicians / experts on from both and consensus is they’ll both sign up easily to nato. Both having long endured Russia’s bullshit on their borders.
