Wait what? That seems crazy to me. I hope you like it. It won't feel quite so futuristic as it would have in high school or college.

How does increased demand result in canceled flights? "Too many people want on this plane, so fuck it, we're just not going to fly at all."?

If you've got a staffed plane going to Chicago, why would more people wanting to go to Chicago change that?

The airlines sold bookings on ten flights in the future. When that future arrives, they only have been able to staff five of those flights. That means five flights will be cancelled.

Lumber prices are starting to fall back to earth, so that's good. Now if only we could get through this chicken wing shortage.

Shipping containers have exploded in cost from around $3000 to over $10000 dollars. Crazy. Glad my shipping is done for now.

we have not yet federally decriminalized marijuana and are missing out in billions of tax dollars because of it stunting the growth of the industry in this cuntry

Well, California did manage to even screw up marijuana legalization...

Has it been done successfully anywhere?

I assume this means you don't think it's been successful in Colorado?

I'm not going to take a deep dive into the particulars of any specific states, but I will offer two general comments:

1. On the one hand, perfect should not be the enemy of the good. Stopping people from being criminally liable for cannabis is a major win.
2. On the other hand, if the regulatory scheme in place is still resulting in a black market, then that means they have more work to do to loosen the regulations in question.

I have no idea. I guess I should better understand what success is in this case outside of eliminating the ridiculousness of giving people third strikes for possession.

I think tax revenue generated and the persistence (or lack thereof) of a black market for marijuana are two reasonable places to begin judging the success of a state's legalization policies.
The taxes (upward of about 40% when taken together) and onerous regulations in California have led to the tax revenues generated falling far short of projections and the decrease in illegal marijuana sales to be far less than anticipated as well.

“Billionaires should not exist”

Liquidity concerns aside, and that it would eliminate nearly all investment in country, how much would be transferred to each person assuming it’s not taxed?

So, 8.3% producer inflation, eh? That "temporary blip" idea isn't looking great at the moment.

The debt ceiling was raised twice during the Trump administration; I don’t remember the Republicans peeping the slightest.
Let’s face it, both parties spend way too much.
