So Cosby is out on a technicality but is cleared of charges and won’t be prosecuted again. He did serve three years and public opinion seems to be that he’s guilty of his charges.
He’s well into his 80s but starts a new chapter of his life; most likely his epilogue. I wonder what his legacy will be and how history will view him.

Its not exactly a minor technicality. The prosecuter gave his legal team multiple avenues for appeal.

Well, he did admit to drugging women.

This ruling perplexes me. The prosecutor told Cosby he wasn't going to charge him, and then did? I thought the whole point of Miranda is that cops can lie to you, and if you believe them, tough shit.

that is why it was overruled. he admitted to drugging people in the civil case but was promised criminal immunity if he didnt plead the 5th

...and that civil case he had immunity for was in 2005 or something, then the different prosecutor in 2015(?) reneged on that deal. I think he may have used some of that testimony from the civil case as well. It helped him win but it didn't help justice in the end.

I wonder if any of us could make a deal with a prosecutor to avoid criminal charges after raping a bunch of women. I have a feeling that we'd all end up in prison.

Hmmm.... does that mean he has a civil case against the state?

You mean Bill? Who knows? he might but if I was him, I'd drop it and enjoy being free. It's not like he didn't do the crime.

Could he win it with out rehashing the fact that he admitted under oath that he drugged women in order to have sex with them?

In light of Cosby's exoneration, should we rename this thread? I don't want RM to become a target of a lawsuit.

Hell no.

They took away Gina Carano's thread. It's only fair that they now change this thread, as Cosby has now been found completely innocent of all charges.

Drake Bell and Kyle Massey, whoever they are.

Bad week for the ex Disney Channel child stars. No wonder Miley Cyrus is so fucked up.
