my girlfriend works at vanderbilt, and i'm about 1.5 miles away from it, yet i'm not interested in rooting for them. go big orange, i guess.

The NY State Senate Race 60th district was won by a guy who was disbarred for commiting election fraud about ten years ago.

Is that better or worse than Michael Grimm winning?

I'm not sure.

The 60th district race was a tough one for me to take. The incumbent, a Republican, cast the deciding vote in favor of gay marriage a couple of years ago. He knew when he cast the vote that it would help cost him his nomination, and it did. He also voted for the Safe Act which obviously isn't a Republican favorite. I thought he showed some balls going against his party to do what he thought was right but this is largely a Democratic district so we elect a criminal who had run for office twice before and lost both times.

As a resident of Connecticut, I'm kind of shocked that there isn't anywhere within driving distance that is at least considering (In a real, serious way) legal marijuana. I thought for sure that VT or NH would've taken some initiative with this. I know NH considered it for a brief time, but it didn't seem to go anywhere.
