The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Were a significant number of police departments defunded?
No. lol.
Oh, so now it means literally defunding them and not the broader social movement surrounding criminal justice reform? nice.

This is a pretty right-leaning joke for you. I like it.

On July 20, 2021, he was taken to the hospital after a maintenance employee at his apartment found him lying on the floor, naked and confused. About an hour after arriving at the hospital, police arrested him for pulling a nurse's hair while in a state of psychosis, according to court records.

That maintenance guy was clearly the asshole. Dude was housed and living his best life, why would he need medical care?

I'm making fun of housing first advocates. We need more psych beds and facilities and until that happens jail will be the default psychiatric facility for those with severe illness.

We also need to focus on one problem within this shitshow of solitary for 20 straight days which is that they let him eat styrofoam and didn't think a doctor should be consulted.
Get off your soapbox and strawmen and admit that the cops in this story are the worst.
I dunno, a society where people like this languish on the streets every day because an inability to care for yourself is not a sufficient standard to be committed to long term psychiatric care sounds pretty bad too.
I thought if you put "systemic" before something problematic it automatically trumped individual incidents of awfulness.
